MIO Autumn Breeze Hop

Welcome back to the MIO Compadres Monthly Hop!!

Our theme is Thanksgiving/Fall!

So many Ideas, so little time! The Upcoming Holidays and watching leaves fall and waiting for Snow, is the best to me!!

Giveaway is at the bottom!!

First my creation for the hop!

I am head over heels with these little critters from Lawn Fawn’s Jump For Joy set! They are so cute, and I loved all the different variations of this card on Pinterest, I know I wanted to make one of my own. I started out with a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base made from Neenah Solar Crest White #110, after cutting and scoring I set this to the side. I was so excited to work with the Lawn Fawn Leafy Tree Die (Portrait), I cut 2 of them out, 1 in Tim Holtz Woodgrain  and 1 from Lawn Fawn’s Perfectly Plaid Fall 6×6 Pack. I also diecut several of the leaves.

I stamped & colored all of my little critters, acorn, leaves and rake along with those extra leaves I cut and set then all to the side. The I worked on my tree with several of Tim Holtz Distress Inks in brown with my new Silver Brush Scrubber Brushes. ( I think it turned out pretty good), I cut that tree away from the frame and laid it over top of the patterned tree in the frame.

After all assembly was finished I went back and glossy accented my leaves and use my Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen on certain areas!

I hope you like my card this month and would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! See you in December!!

MIO Cooky Spooky Hop

BOOO!!!

Wow it’s awesome to be back with the MIO Compadres!!

This month our theme is Halloween, in case you hadn’t already guessed, lol!

What a fun theme :)!! I love this time of year!!

Giveaway is at the bottom!!

First my creation for the hop!

Last year, I fell in love with several of the Tiddly Ink stamps both digital and clear, however, I hate to see that I have only actually played with 1 or 2. My crafty time is not what it used to be, needless to say. Hopefully all that is changing! We are back hopping for the Fall to Spring Season and I look forward to playing with many more new to me items! Which brings back to this card. I decided that the first step to getting back into the groove was to go through my Evernote to look for stamps within the Halloween theme and look what cutie I found!!

Tiddly Inks Too Cute To Spook was perfect! On top of that I had recently received this awesome Spiderweb stencil from Hero Arts. I was sitting in my craft room trying to get the mojo flowing and a close friend recommended that I use Embossing paste on it for a white web. I thought ok, I don’t have that but I have texture paste, so I got in my drawer and this Faber Castell Glass Glitter Bead Gel, so I gave it a shot on Gina K Black Onyx and wow when it dried how awesome does this look!! I have a very short video (my first, lol) showing how it looks up close.

Once I had my witchy colored with my Prsimacolor Pencils, I made my enamel accents spider in stages and pop dotted him on, with his legs and spiderweb running to the top of the panel, I then stamped my sentiment onto a piece of MFT Orange Zest and cut into a banner. I also layered my background onto MFT Boyensberry and attached that to My Neenah #110 cardbase. Once I had everything layered I pop dotted my sentiment banner and My Witch so that she was standing on the banner!

Thank you for letting me share this with you and my full product list is under my video!!
